Thabisa's parents separated leaving her mother to take care of the family on her own. Thabisa's mother struggled to make ends meet and she couldn't pay to keep Thabisa in school. When Watoto Child Care Ministries heard about Thabisa's situation, through the Neighbourhood program Watoto is coming alongside this family, and providing an excellent education for Thabisa at one of the local schools.

Thabisa's story has changed for the better. She is now going to a good school in the local community. She is involved in all the school activities and enjoys a healthy meal daily. Her best dish is rice and beans. Thabisa loves to write most at school and math is her favorite subject. Her favorite color is yellow and someday she hopes to become a doctor.
