Joshua is from Gulu in northern Uganda. His mother didn't earn enough from tending people's gardens to meet all the family's needs. Due to limited resources, Joshua was not able to regularly attend school and the family sometimes went hungry. Watoto learned about this and reached out to them. Joshua's mother was enrolled into the Neighbourhood program for skills training and empowerment to better her incomes and Joshua was also enrolled into school to continue his education.

Joshua is now receiving a good education at a Watoto school at no cost. He is happy to be back in school and he participates in all the school activities. He says his dream is to become a lawyer in the future. In his free time, he likes to read his books. Joshua's favorite food is rice and chicken and he loves yellow.

Caring adults are available at Watoto to mentor and instruct Joshua regarding all aspects of life. Please pray for him to respond positively to this mentorship.
