Salome’s mother left her in the care of neighbours and when she had not returned for weeks Salome was taken to a medical centre because she was sick and malnourished. It was at this point that Watoto Child Care Ministries was contacted and she was admitted into the program for care and protection. At this point Salome’s mother was located and she came to visit but never returned.

With loving attention from staff and volunteers at the Baby Watoto-Suubi Home, Salome grew healthy and happy.

In due time, Salome graduated to a Watoto Home in a Watoto Village, where a devoted housemother and Watoto brothers and sisters made her feel welcome. Salome’s housemother showers her with love and care, giving her all the attention she needs.

On Sundays, Mama takes Salome to the Watoto Church, where the whole family receives spiritual nourishment. Please pray for her to grow in the knowledge and love of the Lord.
